All over the years, the sheep and the profession of the shepherd, has been the "modus vivendi" for many families in Castellar de n'Hug and important element of cultural exchange.

The Shepherd’s Museum (Museu del Pastor) gives an overview of past, present and future of this hard labor. Every summer we organize has an outstanding tribute, the International Competition of Shepherd’s Dog (Competició de Gossos d’Atura).

In the museum, you can find several goods and vessels that illustrate the daily life of the shepherds. The museum is situated in the centre of Castellar de n’Hug

Timetable:

• September to June: Weekends and holidays from 11 to 14 h.
• July and August: Weekends and holidays from 11 to 14 and from 17 to 19 h.
